A new leak has revealed that Lenovo will soon join
the league of Chinese smartphone makers that have a partnership with car
manufacturers. The leak is a photo that shows the “About Phone” section of a
phone revealed to be the Lenovo Z5s Ferrari SuperFast. It also discloses some
key specs of the device.
The Lenovo Z5s Ferrari SuperFast will launch as a
special edition model of the Lenovo Z5s but Ferrari’s name isn’t the only thing
to be excited about. The photo shows the phone has model number L78071. It is powered by a
Snapdragon 845 processor and packs a whopping 12GB of RAM.
Lenovo is practically setting a new record with this
device. At the moment, the highest amount of RAM on a device is 10GB and there
are only a handful of phones with that amount of RAM. The Lenovo Z5s Ferrari
SuperFast will also have 128GB of storage and run ZUI 10 out of the box.
The regular variant of the phone is expected to come
with a Snapdragon 710 processor as there is still no confirmation that there is
a processor called Snapdragon 678. This year alone, we have seen two
Chinese manufacturers partner with automobile companies. OPPO partnered with
Lamborghini to launch a special edition of the Find X called the OPPO Find X
Automobili Lamborghini Edition.
Last week, OnePlus announced the OnePlus 6T McLaren
Edition released in collaboration with British automobile car company, McLaren.
Huawei is still partnered with Porsche Design and this year it released two
Porsche Design Special Edition phones.
