Fastrack has launched a wearable device named
Fastrack Reflex WAV smart band, which is touted as the world’s slimmest
wearable with gesture control. The device, priced at Rs. 4,995, roughly US$ 72,
comes loaded with features that you would expect from a fitness band.
It comes with an OLED display and is powered by
Qualcomm CSR1010 chipset under the hood. The device, which is IP67 certified
for ensuring water and dust resistance, comes with a battery that is claimed to
last up to five days on a single charge.
It’s loaded with features like activity tracker,
24-hour active sleep tracking, scrolling notifications, calendar alerts, among
others. As said, it also comes gesture control feature, which lets you change
music, click pictures, reject calls, control smartphone camera, among other
things, just by simply twisting the wrist.
The device also comes with sedentary reminders
alerting users that there is a lack of activity for a certain period of time.
The smart band also offers weather updates and city time. It can be paired with
any device running Android or iOS. It measures around 9mm in thickness and
comes with a black colored dial and charcoal black wristband.
The Fastrack Reflex WAV will be competing against
the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 and the upcoming Honor Band 4. While the Mi Band 3 is
available for Rs. 1,999 (US$ 29), the Honor Band 4, which was launched in India
yesterday, is expected to be priced around Rs. 3,000 (US$ 43).
