VAIO officially launched the VAIO A12 notebook in Japan, using the new Stabilizer
Flap structure to achieve more ‘forms’ and solve the problems of the most
two-in-one notebooks.
The VAIO A12 has five modes, including laptop mode,
tablet mode, view mode, folding view mode, and wireless keyboard mode. As said, the Stabilizer Flap
structure solves the traditional two-in-one notebooks’ problems. The back
bracket takes up a lot of space; it is impossible to adjust the angle; they
have a thick bottom and so on. Due to the new technology and design, the VAIO
A12 is way lighter. At the same time, stable multi-angle adjustments can be
achieved.
The VAIO A12 lowest version is equipped with the
Celeron 3965Y processor. But there are other models packed with the Core
m3-8100Y, i5-8200Y, and i7-8500Y processors. They are equipped with up to 16GB
of memory onboard, up to 1TB SSD (PCI-E), and a 12.5-inch screen with a
resolution of 1920 x 1080.
The VAIO A12 comes with a variety of interfaces,
including three USB, one Type-C 3.0, one HDMI, one VGA, one RJ45 network port,
and one SD card slot. The weight of the body is 1.009kg- 1.114kg. In the tablet
mode, you can get 7.4-8.1 hours of endurance. But when the keyboard is
connected, it will last for 15 hours.
In terms of selling price, in Japan, the VAIO A12 is
priced at 168,000 yen (US$ 1474), while the All Black version is priced at 238,800
yen (US$ 2095). It’s expected that this 2-in-1 laptop will go on sale globally
next year.
