Last week, Samsung had unveiled the Infinity Flex
Display technology at its Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2018 event that
was held in San Francisco, U.S. Through the same platform, the South Korean
company had revealed Infinity-U, Infinity-V, Infinity-O and New Infinity
display designs that it will be using on its future smartphones. Popular
tipster Benjamin Geskin has claimed that the budget version of the Galaxy S10
will be featuring the Infinity-O display. He also shared key information on the
specs and pricing of the phone.
The budget version of the Galaxy S10 will probably
carry “Lite” moniker and it is expected to get announced alongside the Galaxy
S10 and Galaxy S10+ smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in
February in the coming year. The Infinity-O display that is now rumored to be
available on the S10 Lite will provide users with an impressive screen space
since there will be slimmer bezels all around the screen. For the selfie
camera, the display of the S10 Lite will feature a small cut-out at the
top-left corner.
Previous rumors had claimed that the Galaxy S10 Lite
would be equipped with a single rear camera. According to Geskin, the rear
panel of the Galaxy S10 Lite will be equipped with a dual camera setup. It is
speculated that it may feature a horizontally arranged dual camera system. Like
the Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphone that was announced recently, the Galaxy S10
Lite is also expected to feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The tipster is not sure about the chipset that will
be powering the S10 Lite. He has claimed that either the Snapdragon 845 or the
upcoming Snapdragon 8150 will be fueling the smartphone. The S10 Lite is tipped
to arrive in variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 64 GB
storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. As far as pricing is concerned, the
handset is likely to be priced between US$ 650 and US$ 750.
