Panasonic India keeps expanding its presence in the
offline smartphone market in India with the latest entry-level device called
Panasonic P85 Nxt. The device has basic specs, big 4,000 mAh battery and a
price tag of INR 6,999 (US$ 95).
The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 210 chipset
that has a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz. The screen is 5” with a standard
HD resolution, and there is Gorilla Glass on top for protecting the LCD and the
capacitive keys. The memory combo is 2/16 GB with a slot that can carry up to
128 GB.
There is one camera on the back and one on the front
of the device; both coupled with an LED flash. The sensors are respectively 8
MP and 5 MP, with the main one having 5P lens and AF. Biometric security
options include Face Unlock and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The P85 Nxt is dual SIM and comes with the dated
Android Nougat OS and the pre-installed app Arbo Hub that brings news updates,
cab rides, games without the need to download them, and even horoscope if you
are into this kind of stuff.
One neat feature about the new phone is that it
supports reverse charging - simply plug another device into the Panasonic P85
Nxt and it will start filling its battery. The phone is offered in Blue, Gold, and Black and is already available
at “all leading retail outlets.”
