Hive has announced the availability to preorder a
new outdoor security camera which has been designed by Yves Béhar and takes the
form of the aptly named Home View Outdoor.
Capable of streaming full 1080p HD,
the security camera is certified IP66 waterproof and users can store footage
for up to 24-hour is using the Hive companion smartphone application. Features
of the Hive Home View outdoor security camera include :
- With automatic night vision see what’s happening at any time. Livestream in 1080p HD straight to your smartphone.
- Hive View Outdoor will automatically start recording if people, motion or sound are detected – and then store that footage securely online for you to see later.
- Get a notification when your camera detects sound or motion. It can even send a thumbnail image when a person is detected, so you know if it’s a stranger or the kids back from school.
- Playback footage from the last 24 hours or download recordings to watch later with any Hive View Outdoor purchase. So it’s easy to share footage with the police and your insurance company if needed.

available to preorder directly from the Hive website priced at US$ 199 or £ 180.
