Modern phone design is obsessed with the trends, no
matter if it’s the current flavor of the month like the “notched screen”, “18:9
displays” or “in-screen fingerpint”. But sometimes the phone makers decide to
return to the good old days of classical 16:9 phones, like the CUBOT brand just
did with the newly announced model CUBOT A5.
CUBOT A5 is
really not bothering with all the current gimmicks and goes straight for the
good old 5,5-inch IPS 18:9 FHD display and front facing fingerprint scanner
beneath it. Some of the hardware feels also a little bit too classical,
especially the MT6753 processor, but the rest is up to date with 3 GB RAM, 32
GB of storage, 13MP rear camera with Samsung 3L8 sensor, front selfie shooter
with Sony IMX219 sensor, 3000 mAh battery, Android 8 Oreo system, USB Type-C
port, gyroscope and more.
It will be without a doubt quite affordable model
for the old time lovers and it should be released to the market during November
in blue and gold color variants.
