Sonos has created a new Sonos Play 5 Beastie Boys
Edition speaker to celebrate the release of the bands memoir. Mike D and
Ad-Rock of Beastie Boys have designed a limited-run Play:5 featuring work by
artist Barry McGee. The Sonos Play 5 Beastie Boys Edition speaker will debut
during the Beastie Boys Book: Live & Direct tour that kicks off in New York
City on Monday, October 29th 2018. Shows will be taking place in Brooklyn, Los
Angeles, San Francisco, and London, UK.
Sonos will provide the sound experience at each
event, playing a mixtape curated by Ad-Rock and Mike D, but will also give fans
at each location the chance to win a special signed version of the speaker.
The Sonos Play 5 Beastie Boys Edition will be
available in December 2018 from the Sonos website priced at US$ 499.
