A recent report suggests that Samsung would
outsource manufacturing to Wintech. The devices will have its logo at the back
and this would help the company restructure its manufacturing costs as it aims
to get back in the game in China. This move from the company comes at a time
where the speculation are rife that Samsung is shutting down one of its two
manufacturing plants in China. It might be because of the sluggish sales and
rising labor costs.
The leaked Galaxy A6s images that surfaced on the
Weibo claim that it would be the company’s first ODM smartphone and it
essentially looks very much like the Galaxy A9 at first glance. it features
vertical dual-rear cameras and gradient colors and no physical home button but
packs thick bezels. It has a ‘Galaxy Phoenix’ name on the startup screen which
could either be the local moniker for this device or a codename of some sort.
This might be the reason why we heard rumors about the Galaxy-P series.
it is unclear when and where Samsung would launch
the Galaxy A6s and if the company would launch the phone outside of China.
