Microsoft announced the Xbox Adaptive Controller for
disabled players a few months back. It helps people with disabilities to play
games on their Xbox. The company called it the most flexible adaptive
controller made by a major gaming company and started taking pre-orders for it
in June. Well, now it has announced that the Xbox Adaptive Controller is
available for purchase.
This controller features two large programmable
buttons as well as 19 jacks through which many buttons, joysticks, and switches
can be connected to allow differently abled players to play games on the Xbox
One and Windows 10 PC. So it is very versatile for a wide range of people.
The high level of flexibility through which many
peripherals can be used in concert with system-level button remapping will help
people with disabilities to enjoy playing games. Some people will be able to
enjoy games for the first time using this controller. It will be interesting to
hear what they think of this controller after using it to play games.
Peripherals from Microsoft’s hardware partners like
Logitech, RAM, and PDP can be used to customize the controller. The Xbox
Adaptive Controller is available starting today at Microsoft Stores and
GameStop online for only US$ 99.
