Vivo just made the V11 and V11i official. They are
the upgrade of the Vivo V9 which was launched 6 months ago. The Chinese tech giant updated
its design, internals, and added more features fit on a 2018 smartphone. The Vivo V11 and V11i now has an
glossy back cover design with stylish/glitter-like starry night or nebula color
options.
Both devices are also loaded with a larger 6.4-inch
19.5:9 Super AMOLED screen. It even has a much smaller notch versus other
mid-range phones. Vivo dubbed it as the "halo" notch. Inside, the jump coming from the
V9 is HUGE. From the weaker Snapdragon 626, the V11 will come with the 2.2GHz
64-bit Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor with Adreno 512 GPU. That chip is
way faster and more intelligent than the Snapdragon 626. It is paired with large 6GB RAM,
64GB/128GB of expandable storage, and 3,400mAh battery.
They are also the first "mid-range" phone
with an In-Display fingerprint scanning solution. Previously, that tech are
only found on premium phones like the X21 and NEX S. Vivo also upgraded its cameras.
It now has the 12MP f/1.8 + 5MP f/2.4 with Dual PD focus and dual-tone LED
flash. For selfies, you will find a 25MP f/2.0 sensor with AI and screen flash.
The phones are also equipped with face unlock tech,
CS43199 + SSM6322 HiFi chips, dual 4G connectivity, and dual SIM slots. It boots with Android 8.1 Oreo OS
with Funtouch OS 4.5 and Jovi AI assistant. Jovi works like Bixby and Google
Assistant combined.
