ZTE and its subsidiary nubia finally launched the Z18 flagship earlier this month.
The phone arrived with a new understanding of their borderless ideology with
curved edges on the sides and a tiny waterdrop notch on the top.
Two weeks after the unveiling the phone will finally
be launched in the first flash sale at the Chinese online retailer JD.com. The
price is between € 350/US$ 410 and € 410/US$ 480 for two of the color options in both
memory combos.
Both the Nebula Red and the Midnight Black versions
of the nubia Z18 are listed, while the Starry Night Van Gogh Edition is still
unavailable. The price for the variant with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage is
CNY 2,799, while the more powerful version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is
CNY 3,299. Sadly, there is no microSD slot, so if you need more room for your
files, you need to pull out the extra cash.
The flash sale is already live but will close by the
end of the day in China. Once the event is over, we should expect a second
flash sale in a week or so, when hopefully the fancier Van Gogh version will be
available, even if it means shedding some more out of the wallet.
