A new affordable
range of solid state drives (SSD) have been unveiled by Lexar this week
offering a variety of capacities starting from just $30 and each drive comes
with a three-year limited warranty. The Lexar NS100 2.5″ SATA III (6Gb/s)
solid-state drive will be offered in 120GB, 240GB, 480GB capacities which will
be available to purchase very soon priced at US$ 30, US$ 50 and Us$ 90 respectively.
While the Lexar NS200 2.5″ SATA III (6Gb/s) solid-state drive will be available
in larger 240GB, 480GB capacities and will be priced at US$ 80 and US$ 110
respectively.
The NS100 SSD
drives offer an affordable drive for those looking to upgrade their existing
older hard disk drives (HDD), while the NS200 SSD more suited to gamers and
professionals offer read speed of up to 550MB/s and and sequential write of up
to 510MB/s.
