ASUS officially announced the new ZenBook, ZenBook
Pro and VivoBook S which are their "premium, ultra-portable laptop"
series in the Philippines.
This new line of laptops will all be powered with
the latest 8th Intel Core processors. First up, the ZenBook will have 3
variants which are the ZenBook 13, 14 and 15. These are 13.3-inch, 14-inch and
15.6-inch ZenBooks repectively.
The ZenBook series will have the new frameless ASUS
NanoEdge display with ultra-slim bezels on all 4 sides with up to 95%
screen-to-body ratio. It also has the ErgoLift hinge mechanism that tilts the
keyboard for a more "comfortable typing" experience. It also has the
new NumberPad which is a LED-illuminated numeric keypad built-in into the
touchpad. Inside, these laptops will have 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors,
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics, integrated Gigabit WiFi optimized for
Intel Wireless AC 9560.
The ZenBook Pro 14 focuses on performance on the go
and its new ScreenPad feature. It sports a 14-inch NanoEdge FHD display with
pre-calibrated PANTONE validated color accuracy. It also has the ErgoLift hinge
as well. It has an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U processor, and Nvidia GeForce
GTX 1050 GPU.
The ScreenPad is an intelligent touchpad that is
exclusive to the ZenBook Pro 14 and ZenBook Pro 14. It is compatible with apps
like Adobe Sign, Handwriting and SpeechTyper. It also works with the Ectender
Mode that makes the ScreenPad a secondary Windows display for productivity.
The ZenBook S is a 13.3-inch laptop that boasts up
to 20 hours of battery life. It can have up to an 8th Intel Core i7-8550U
processor, 8GB of RAM and an Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU. It is said to have
dedicated power saving components that can enable it to run for up to 20 hours.
Lastly, they also announced the VivoBook S14 and S15
which are stylish and lightweight laptops. It can have up to an 8th Gen Intel
Core i7-8550U, up to 8GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU.
