Xiaomi is announcing a new smartphone series called
Pocophone and the first device from the portfolio will be called F1, according
to numerous leaks. It is arriving in India on August 22, but just days ahead of
the unveiling the phone popped up on Geekbench with 8 GB RAM. This is the
second appearance of the Pocophone F1 at the benchmark after last week’s
listing with 6 gigs of RAM.
The single-score result of 2451 and the multi-core
score of 8998 are on similar levels with other Snapdragon 845-powered phones
like the OnePlus 6, Xiaomi Mi 8, HTC U12+ etc. The listing actually confirms
there is a Pocophone F1 with 8 GB RAM since all we heard until now were rumors.
According to a leaked video, the phone is expected
to have a 5.99 IPS LCD with a notch on top. On the back is a vertical dual
camera setup, coupled with a fingerprint scanner. Rumors also point to 4,000
mAh battery and since the chipset is a flagship platform by Qualcomm, it should
support at least Quick Charge 3.0, but we know Xiaomi is capable of boosting
Quick Charge 4.0 exclusively to the Indian market, so some users might be in
for a treat.
