The Xiaomi Mi Note 4 might have made an appearance a
few days ago on the the website of Chinese telecom regulator TENAA. The images
of a phone with the model number M1807E8A were discovered on the site with the
date of July 27th posted. These images reveal that at least one variant of the
device will sport a transparent back cover, similar to the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer
Edition. As we told you earlier today, the "mainboard" that appears
through the transparent cover on the Mi 8 Explorer Edition is not the real
board that is used to power the phone.
The M1807E8A features a vertical dual camera setup
on back, similar to the Mi 8 Explorer Edition, and carries a notched display in
front. No specs were listed although the Mi Note 4 is rumored to be equipped
with a 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The last-generation
Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform is said to be under the hood and the phone will
reportedly include 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The device will come
with a camera offering 4-axis OIS, and when it comes to connectivity, the
handset will be compatible with Global LTE bands. The model is expected to be
priced at 2,299 Yuan (equivalent to US$ 337 USD).
In a few days, an expanded listing should appear on
the TENAA site with some of the specs belonging to the M1807E8A. So we will
revisit this again in a few days and as soon as the specs are released, we will
pass them along to you.
