Samsung is announcing the Galaxy Note9 tomorrow at a
special event in New York. We’ve heard a lot about the phone - its prices in
Europe, and in the Asia-Pacific region; about the S Pen and its Bluetooth
connectivity, and about the camera with the variable aperture from f/1.5 to
f/2.4. We might’ve wrapped the story so far in a neat Sunday read, but we just
got some new info in our mailbox.
The UK accessory retailer MobileFun is now offering
official cases from Samsung, Olixar, and other for the upcoming phablet. The
listings include press images of the actual phone, confirming the dual camera
setup and the fingerprint scanner position below it. There will also be a Bixby
button, 3.5 mm audio jack and a tall Infinity Display.
Samsung will offer once again plenty of various
cases. There are silicone covers and Clear View Standing cases for the back
panel in all the colors. There are also LED and leather flip colors, including
a fancy red case. The Korean company is also offering extra tough protection
that should keep the massive 6.4” phone intact.
Olixar, on other hand, is more into FlexiShield
cases for the back panel. Next to the transparent variant we also see Solid
Black, Aquamarine Blue and really saturated version of Purple. There is also a
wallet stand case if you are that kind of person that keeps all the valuables
like cards, money, and phone at one place.
Prices of the cases range from € 6 to almost € 60 and
there are some more manufacturers like UAG and Obliq, but sadly we are yet to
see photos of them. Interestingly enough, you can order and receive them in no
more than 5 days, meaning you might get your case before you get your actual
phone, expected to start shipping two weeks after tomorrow’s launch.
