An image of the upcoming Realme 2 went live on the
company's website ahead of official announcement. The image has since been
taken down. The image showed the new Realme 2 from the front and the back. There
wasn't any accompanying information and the image didn't lead to a dedicated
page for the device. The only thing accessible was the image on the homepage
along with the tagline "A notch above".
While that's not much to go on, the image does give
us a few ideas as to what to expect. For one, the display now has the popular
notch indicating a shift towards a more "bezel-less" design. Next,
the camera on the back is now a dual sensor system, unlike the single camera on
the back of the Realme 1. Lastly, the Realme 2 also has a fingerprint sensor on
the back, a feature that was missing entirely on the Realme 1.
Much like the Realme 1, the Realme 2 also has a
geometric pattern underneath the glass back. The phone in the image was shown
in two colors, a black and a blue. From the images, the Realme 2
looks remarkably similar to a bunch of Oppo phones, including the Oppo F7 and
the recent F9, albeit with a minor differences. This leads us to believe the
Realme 2 could also have the same MT6771 Helio P60 processor as these phones
(or Realme 1, for that matter), along with a 6.23-inch 2280x1080 display and
16+2MP rear camera, although that's pure speculation on our part.
The Realme 2 is expected to be priced under INR
20,000 (US$ 285), with the exact pricing yet unknown. We don't have an official
release date yet. We w
