Sony has sold over 525 million PlayStation consoles
since its inception in 1994. To celebrate, the company will offer a limited
edition PS4 Pro and accessories. The special units feature a fan-pleasing translucent shell (in dark
blue), a bigger than usual 2TB hard drive, a PlayStation camera, vertical stand
and a mono headset.
The PS4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition will not
move the sale numbers much, only 50,000 units will be available world wide.
They’ll go for Us$ 500/€ 500 starting August 24. You can check PlayStation.com for
details on which retailers will have units.
If you want to keep your console but still celebrate
the occasion, you can grab a DualShock 4 controller with the same styling as
the limited edition console. These are US$ 65/€ 64. There will also be a
translucent dark blue/copper wireless headset for US$ 100/€ 90.
