An upcoming OPPO smartphone has made an appearance
at Taiwan’s NCC and Indonesia’s Infocom Media Development Authority. The
phone’s model number is CPH1851 but it has been reported it will launch as the
OPPO AX5.
Based on the images provided in the NCC document,
the OPPO AX5 has dual rear cameras with a LED flash flanking the sensors on the
right. There doesn’t seem to be a fingerprint scanner on the back. Up in front,
there is a notched display similar to that of the iPhone X and not the new waterdrop
design.
The OPPO AX5 also has a USB type-C port at the
bottom with a speaker grille on one side and a 3.5mm audio jack on the other.
The volume buttons are on the left of the phone while the power button sits on
the right.
The main specs of the phone are unknown but at least
we know it will have dual cameras and dual SIM support (two IMEI numbers on the
sticker). It should also have Face Unlock seeing as it doesn’t seem to have a
fingerprint scanner. However, apart from the missing scanner, the phone does
look like Realme 2 whose official render leaked last week.
