NEC has announced the imminent launch of a
new Intel Gemini Lake tablet in the form of the NEC VersaPro V tablet which
comes equipped with a stylus, fingerprint reader and USB type C connection.
Fitted with a 10.1 inch display offering users a resolution of 1920 x 1200
pixels the new tablet is powered by an Intel Celeron N4100 Gemini Lake
processor supported by 4 GB of RAM.
The NEC VersaPro V tablet can be equipped with 64GB
to 128GB of eMMC storage and connectivity is provided by support for Bluetooth
4.1 and wireless 802.11ac with optional 4G LTE support available if desired.
The tablet also includes a 2 megapixel front facing camera for video calling,
together with a 5 megapixel rear facing for video and photographs.
The VersaPro VU is currently available within Japan
but at the current time NEC have not announced any worldwide availability or
pricing. As soon as any more information is made available we will keep you
up-to-speed as always. The tablet also features a USB 3.0 Type-A and Type-C
ports, together with additional ports located in the keyboard dock offering
HDMI, USB, and Ethernet.
