Meizu 16 and 16 Plus' unveiling went under the radar
because everyone was focusing on the Galaxy Note9 yesterday. But that shouldn't
take anything away from the Meizu 16 lineup, which is pretty hot on its own.
At first, we thought that Meizu is working on a
plus-sized version with Snapdragon 845 and a regular one with Snapdragon 710,
but when the company announced the phones, we were surprised to see the SD845
powering the small version as well. Shortly after the announcement, the
company's CEO himself confirmed that a third alteration called Meizu 16X is in
the works.
This is the device that's supposed to run Snapdragon
710 paired with 6GB of RAM and it already showed up on Geekbench. The clock
speeds of the CPU is what gave it away. Also, the score is pretty similar to
the Snapdragon 710-powered Mi 8 SE.
