Leica has announced a new addition to its range of
cameras with the launch of the limited edition Leica Q Globe-Trotter Camera, of
which only 50 units will be made available unsold from Leica stores in Japan
and the UK. Availability is expected to start in a few days time on August 9th,
2018 and the limited edition camera bundle will be priced at around US$ 7500 or
¥ 840,000.
The new Leica Q limited edition camera bundles were
announced in Japan and have been created in collaboration with Globe-Trotter
and are available into different finishes either pink or navy blue. The Leica Q
weighs in at 640 g and is crafted from a solid block of aluminium, and sports a
body chassis that is constructed of magnesium alloy.
On the rear of the Lecia Q is a high resolution 1280
x 960 pixel electronic viewfinder and the camera supports connectivity via both
NFC and WiFi and is capable of recording Full HD 1080p video footage at 60/30
fps. The LEcia Q is fitted with a fixed Summilux 28-mm F1.7 lens that is
combined with a 24-megapixel CMOS sensor.
