Xiaomi first launched the Blasoul Y720 gaming mouse
in December last year with an attractive design including a changing light
colour effect. The company has now launched a new lite version of the same
mouse with a cheaper price tag. The Blasoul Y720 Lite, as it is called, comes
with slightly trimmed down feature but the quality is consistent with that of
all known Xiaomi products.
The new gaming mouse comes in at just 349 yuan (US$ 52)
as compared to the 499 yuan (US$ 74) price tag which the Y20 is offered. The main
highlight is the panoramic lightning effect which comes when the mouse is in
use. The major difference is that the DPI is reduced from 12,000 to 7200 on
this new gaming mouse. In addition, the new mouse has a more rounded shape and
is designed based on the right-hand ergonomics. It comes with seven buttons, a
side design that prevents the hands from slipping away from the mouse easily
even when the hand is sweaty. Thus, it is suitable for use during long gaming
session or competition.
In terms of the build quality, the mouse is crafted
using TPR+ABS injection moulding process, while the surface uses a proprietary
BabyFace coating giving it a skin-like feel and making it stain-resistant.
Stains can be removed easily with a gentle wiping of the surface. I addition,
the gaming mouse is equipped with a micro-motion 2000W click life, PMW3360
optical engine, 48MHz 32bit master chip, preset 5 files DPI fast switching.
However, the most distinctive feature is its
panoramic light effect design. The entire mouse has up to five 16.8 million
color RGB lighting areas, achieving 360° bright lights with no dead ends. As
stated earlier, it is priced at 349 yuan and is available presently in China
via Xiaomi Youpin.
