Samsung is prepping a bunch of new tablets - from
the flagship Galaxy Tab S4 to a refresh of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2018), the
Galaxy Tab A2 (10.5) and Tab Advanced2 and the star of this story - the Galaxy
Tab A 8.0 (2018). The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has been rumored to be a tame refresh of
its predecessor - the key differences being a removal of the physical home
button (in favor of on-screen one) and a slimmer profile, thanks to thinner
bezels.
An official-looking render has surfaced, visualizing
what could prove to be the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). Judging by the image, the
Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) will have curved glass on the front and a uniform
backplate - most likely plastic.
By the looks of it, there's no Bixby button. Here's a render of the Galaxy Tab
A 8.0 (2017) and the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) side by side. The older tablet has
a larger profile overall.
The homescreen of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) shows
a date of August 9, which coincides with the Unpacked event that will likely
see the Galaxy Note9 and Galaxy Watch announced, hinting that the Galaxy Tab A
8.0 (2018) and possibly the Galaxy Tab S4 could piggiback the event too.
