Razer has launched a new and unique
keyboard this week which is equipped with light beam Opto-Mechanical switches
which rely on an optical trigger rather than a mechanical. The Opto-Mechanical
switches require a lighter actuation force of just 45g, and ate rated for up to
100 million keystrokes, making it twice as resilient as many traditional
mechanical switches.
The standard Razer Huntsman keyboard
without wrist rest and additional media functions will be available to purchase
priced at £ 150 in the UK or € 160 throughout Europe Europe and US$ 150 in the
United States. The higher specification Huntsman Elite will be available from
£ 200 in the UK, € 210 in the EU and US$ 200 in the US.
