OPPO has released the new OPPO A5, coming in
two colors: Mirror Blue and Mirror Powder, and an actually affordable price tag
of 1500 Yuan (US$ 224).
The main highlight on the OPPO A5 is probably its
expected autonomy, packing a large 4230mAh battery which, believe it or not, is
a first for the company – they had never equipped an “A” series device with a
battery this big. A big battery paired with a power hungry processor is
worthless though, but that isn’t the case. The OPPO A5 is indeed boasting a
super power efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB
of internal storage.
According to official data, the machine is able to
play videos for about 14 hours or play games for about 11 hours, so you’re
getting a pretty incredible battery life. OPPO also revealed that the OPPO A5
is equipped with an “quick application freeze” feature, which can intelligently
and automatically freeze power consumption for some apps when it “thinks” it’s
necessary.
Other specs on the OPPO A5 include a large 6.2-inch
19:9 top notched display, a dual camera setup comprised of a 13MP and a 2MP
shooter that can snap photos with a bokeh effect. We then find an 8MP sensor
for selfies with AI beauty and ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8 Oreo as the OS.
