As expected, T-Mobile has just outed two of the
cheapest smartphones that customers can find at its stores, the Moto E5 Play
and Moto E5 Plus. Both entry-level handsets are available starting today via
T-Mobile's online store for either outright or monthly prices.
Motorola Moto E5 Plus is the most expensive, as
you'll have to pay US$ 255 to get one, but T-Mobile allows customers to pick one
up for just US$ 9 upfront and US$ 9 per month for 24 months. On the other hand, the Moto
E5 Play costs just US$ 150 outright or US$ 6 down and US$ 6 per month for 24 months.
Both Motorola smartphones pack support for
T-Mobile's 600MHz band (Band 71) allowing them to take advantage of the
carrier's new extended range cell towers. Specs-wise, the two phones are pretty
much different.
The Moto E5 Plus is equipped with a Snapdragon 435
processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Also, the phone boasts a huge 6-inch HD+
display, an equally massive 5,000 mAh battery that supports Motorola's
TurboPower charger, as well as a 12-megapixel rear camera.
The cheaper Moto E5 Play has a Snapdragon 427
processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. On the back, the phone includes an
8-megapixel camera, but it's got a smaller 5.2-inch display and 2,800 mAh
battery. Naturally, both Moto E5 Play and Moto E5 Plus ship with Android 8.0
Oreo on board.
