Earlier today a rumor told us that the design of
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note9 would be virtually unchanged from its
predecessor's, in order for the company to cut some costs. Now a bunch of
CAD-based renders have leaked portraying it in all its glory, and mostly
confirming that theory.
From the front it definitely looks indistinguishable
from the Note8, but that's not very surprising - the same can be said of the
Galaxy S9 and S9+ when compared to their predecessors. On the back, the Galaxy
Note9 gets a more sane position for its fingerprint scanner, but it's not
encased in the same island as the dual cameras as we've seen in the S9+.
Instead, it kind of awkwardly sits below the horizontal island, and is once
again quite small for no good reason.
Anyway, at least it's in the right place this time
around. Oh, and if you were anticipating an under-display sensor, well, that's
not happening.
