Samsung today has announced all-new 2018 line-up of
televisions, including new models in the flagship QLED, mid-range UHD and the
Make for India ‘Concert’ series. The company says that the TVs come with
groundbreaking design elements, enhanced picture quality, and smart, intuitive
capabilities.
The new Samsung QLED TV come with Ambient Mode, this
provides useful information throughout the day even if the user isn’t watching
anything. The TV can mimic the pattern on the wall behind the TV to create an
astonishing visual effect in which the TV blends seamlessly into the wall. It
can also automatically show you the weather and lets you personalize the
background with your own photos or from a selection of stunning artworks.
They also feature a new One Invisible Connection
which is one slim cable that combines both user’s power and AV data to the TV.
It is available up to 15 meters and eliminates the needs of placing the TV near
data or power outlets. Users can interact with S VOICE. It also comes with
Smart Things app that can connect TV to other IoT enabled devices for syncing
and sharing content, sending notifications and, mirroring screen and sound.
On the other hand, Samsung also introduced the UHD
TVs and are powered by superior High Dynamic Range. They provide striking
brightness, deep contrast, exceptional details and vividly accurate colors.
Moreover, its Dynamic Crystal Color technology is optimized for high-resolution
viewing. The UHD variants also come with One Remote Control, Smart Hub and
Smart Convergence for you to pair your Smartphone with TV or vice-versa or TV
with Bluetooth speaker.
Lastly, Samsung has also launched the Concert
Series, in two distinct variations, Smart Concert and Joy Concert. The 2018
Concert Series comes with a new sound technology that combines both hardware
and software improvements to deliver a powerful cinematic surround audio
experience. These come with 4 speakers; two at the top and two at the bottom.
Each channel delivers 10W sound output to pack a cumulative punch of 40W
surround sound experience. It features Bluetooth support as well. The Smart Hub feature in the Smart Concert
variant allows users to access Live TV and browse content across a host of apps
such as Jio Cinema, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Big Flix and many more.
The new 8 Samsung QLED TVs range from 55-inch to
75-inch and they will start from Rs.2,45,000. The entry-level UHD comes in
7100 series followed by 7470, 8000 and finally The Frame. The UHD TV
range will start from Rs. 64,900. The Smart concert and Joy concert are
available in 32”, 43” and 49” sizes, and will starts from Rs. 27,500.
