Mi Band 3



The Mi Band 3 that was introduced with an attractive pricing of 169 Yuan (US$ 26) has met with stupendous response in China as 1 million units of the fitness tracker were sold in just 17 days. The Chinese manufacturer now features three new color options for wristbands that can be used with Mi Band 3. The new wristbands are available with a pricing of 19.9 Yuan (US$ 3) on the official website of Xiaomi.

Mi.com (Chinese edition) now features Mi Band 3 wristbands in three colors like black, blue and orange. As of this writing, only black and blue wristbands are available for buying. The Mi Band 3 wristband is made out of thermoplastic elastomer that can safely house the device. The engineers at Xiaomi have conducted 2,000 disassembly and 2,000 assembly tests on the wristband.

The Mi Band 3 fitness tracker was introduced on May 31 when Xiaomi had unveiled the Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE smartphones. The Mi Band 3 resembles the predecessor Mi Band 2 in appearance. It features an OLED screen that measures 0.78 inches. The touch-sensitive screen enabled Mi Band 3 gesture-based actions for accessing its different features. It is IP67 rated waterproof and dustproof device.

Some of the functions that are available on the Mi Band 3 include weather forecast, notifications for calls and messages, ability to mute paired smartphone, heart rate monitor, calorie counter, steps calculator, sedimentary reminder, sleep tracker, event reminder and find my phone. The 110mAh battery of the Mi Band 3 can last for up to 20 days on a single charge.

Yesterday, the Chinese manufacturer had shared images of an unannounced Mi Band 3 Explorer Edition with translucent strap. However, it did not confirm any information on its availability.

The Mi Band 3 is currently only available in China with a pricing of 169 Yuan (US$ 26). In September, the company will be rolling an NFC enabled edition of the device with a price tag of 199 Yuan (US$ 30).
