Garmin has today announced the arrival of a new GPS
watches with the launch of the new Garmin Fenix 5 Plus range of multisport GPS
smartwatches equipped with the company’s Pulse Ox Acclimation. The Fenix 5X
Plus is Garmin’s first wearable to offer a wrist-based Pulse Oximeter, offering
useful features to those engaging in high altitude activities.
The next generation of include GPS, integrated
routable topographical maps, storage for music playlists, Garmin Pay
contactless payment solution and wrist-based Pulse Oximeter for altitude
acclimation awareness and take the form of the Fenix 5S Plus, Fenix 5 Plus and
Fenix 5X Plus. The new GPS watches will be available to purchase very soon
priced from US$ 700 to US$ 1,150.
Every Fenix 5 Plus watch features multinetwork
satellite reception, and is now equipped with Galileo to track in more
challenging environments than GPS alone. This is particularly helpful when
adventuring in places without a clear view of the sky like deep canyons or
urban environments.
