ASUS launched the ZenFone Max Pro
M1 in the Philippines in partnership with Lazada. The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1
is the latest "bang for the buck" mid-range grade smartphone of the
Taiwanese company for mobile gamers.
It features a metal construction and frame with
polycarbonate top, 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 screen with 1500:1 contrast ratio, 450
nits brightness, and smaller looking bezels versus traditional 16:9 phones.
Under the hood, it loads with the 14 nm 64-bit Snapdragon 636 octa-core
processor clocked at 1.8GHz and Adreno 509 GPU. It's the same configuration
found on the higher-end ZenFone 5 priced at PHP 19,995.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 version we will get is
the one with speedy 3GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB EMCP ROM. The main highlight of
this device is it will be powered by 5,000mAh of battery w/ fast charging
support. According to ASUS, it has up to 12 hours straight gaming and a total
of 2.4 hours charging time. It also has dual camera setup at the back. It
features a 13MP f/2.2 OV16880 sensor + 5MP depth sensor w/ PDAF and LED flash.
As expected, it'll come with a "natural
looking" depth of field bokeh mode. It also has auto scene detection which
can automatically switch to HDR, portrait, landscape, sports, flowers,
backlight, candlelight sunset, night, beach, and snow settings. It also has
1080p 60 fps and 4K 30 fps video recording support at the back. For selfies, it
has an 8MP f/2.0 w/ 85.5-degree wide-angle lens and softlight LED flash.
ASUS also added a face unlock tech, fingerprint
sensor at the back, 5-magnet speaker, NXP Smart Amp, WiFi 802.11 ac, 4G LTE w/
VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2 w/ aptX, OTG, GPS, A-GPS, and dedicated dual SIM slots. This phone also boots with PURE Android 8.1 Oreo OS
out of the box. ASUS also promised a future upgrade to Android P.
