Asus and Flipkart had
an announcement to make in India yesterday. The companies have revealed that the
Zenfone 5z, Asus' current flagship smartphone, is headed to the subcontinent.
It will arrive next week, on July 4 to be precise.
The handset will be a Flipkart exclusive. Unfortunately though, no details
about pricing have been outed at this point. You'll probably have to wait until
next Wednesday to find that out.
Additionally, it's unclear which exact version of
the 5z is going to hit India. The phone can come with 4, 6, or even 8GB of RAM,
and 64, 128, or 256GB of built-in storage. It's got a 6.2-inch notched
1080x2246 LCD screen, the Snapdragon 845 on board, dual 12 MP + 8 MP rear
cameras, an 8 MP selfie shooter, and a 3,300 mAh battery. It runs Android 8.0
Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 on top.
