On May 15, OPPO will be launching the Realme 1
smartphone to introduce its new sub-brand called Realme. Earlier today, a
leaked image had surfaced to reveal the glass rear of the Diamond Black edition
of the Realme 1 phone. The rear design of the phone resembles with the
low-budget OPPO A3 phone that was launched in China recently. The Realme 1 has
surfaced on AnTuTu and Geekbench benchmarking platforms to reveal some of its
key specs.
According to 91Mobiles, its source has revealed that
the MediaTek Helio P60 will be powering the 6 GB RAM edition of the Realme 1.
This suggest that the Realme 1 could be also available in lower RAM
configuration. The Realme 1 landing page on Amazon India states that the
smartphone features an AI processor. Interestingly, the Helio P60 that is
rumored to powered the Realme 1 features a multi-core AI processing unit.
On AnTuTu, the 6 GB RAM variant of the smartphone
has scored 1,39,432. Also, on Geekbench 4, it has scored 1,524 and 5,871,
respectively on single-core and multi-core tests. The other specs of the Realme
1 smartphone are under the wraps. What is known is that it will be coming with
AI powered selfie-snapper. Also, in order to deliver better battery
performance, the Realme 1 is rumored to arrive with AI battery management
feature.
OPPO has been aggressively marketing its brand
offline, but it is only now that the company is aiming to build its online
presence through the Realme sub-brand. Forthcoming handsets introduced under
the Realme branding will be available for buying online only. These phones are
expected to be priced between Rs. 8,000 (US$ 120) and Rs. 15,000 (US$ 225). As far
as the Realme 1 is concerned, it will be youth-centric smartphone and it will
be exclusively available through Amazon India.
