Acer has introduced a new addition to its range of
laptops which builds on the already available Swift 5, offering a new design
and higher specification notebook for 2018 equipped with a magnesium and
aluminium alloy casing for light portability. Acer has reduced the bezel width
around the screen and provided the system with a new 15.6-inch 1080p display,
offering 87.6 percent screen-to-body ratio and replacing the older 14-inch
display of the previous version.
Internally Acer has equipped the new Swift 5 2018
laptop with Intel’s latest 8th Generation processor, which can be supported by
16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of solid-state drive (SSD) storage. Further details
on exact hardware configurations are expected to be announced later this year.
Designed with portability in mind Acer has equipped
the new notebook with you lightweight design and refinements building on the
technology and previous editions. Connectivity on the new Acer Swift 5 takes
the form of 2 x USB-C ports, 2 x USB 3.1 Type-A ports, 1 x HDMI port, and a
handy SD card reader, together with a Windows Hello-compatible fingerprint
reader.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has
been released as yet Acer for the new 2018 Swift 5 laptop, but as soon as news
comes to light, we will keep you updated as always.
