LG has launched the G7 and G7+
ThinQ. It is one of the most
feature-rich flagship smartphone yet. It boasts a MIL-STD 810G rated metal and
glass construction with IP68 water and dust resistance.
On the top, it has a 6.1-inch QHD+ HDR 10 compliant
19:5:9 notched FullVision IPS M+ panel uses an RGBW arrangement with 1,000 nits
of luminance, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and better contrast.
Under the hood, you'll find the Snapdragon 845 chip,
up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB UFS 3.1 expandable storage, and 3,000mAh battery
capacity w/ Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging. It also has a dual camera
setup at the back with 16MP f/1.6 w/ 71-degree wide-angle lens + 16MP f/1.9 w/
107-degree wide-angle lens w/ PDAF, laser AF, OIS, and LED flash.
It also has LG's new AI CAM which now offers 19
shooting modes and the Super Bright Camera that uses pixel binning and AI to
make photos up to 4x brigher and automatically adjust the camera settings when
shooting in lowlight. However, the selfie camera is still a bit uninspiring at
just 8MP.
The LG G7 ThinQ phones still has emphasis on audio
though. As a matter of fact, it now has a Boom Box stereo speaker setup with
DTS-X and 7.1 surround sound. LG promises that it has deeper bass and better
audio quality than most smartphones found in the market today.
It still has the 3.5 mm headphone
jack, 32-bit- ESS HiFi quad DAC setup and a new dual microphones with Super Far
Field Voice Recognition that can pick up voice from up to 5 meters away. It boots with Android 8.0 Oreo w/ LG UX out of the
box. LG also promised that it will be updated to Android P.
