With the monumental resurgence of vinyl, there’s no
denying the resurgence of analogue audio equipment. But turntables aren’t the
only thing coming back in style – not if Ballfinger has their say. That’s
because the German brand is primed to release a series of hi-fi modular
reel-to-reel tape decks.
Yes, you read that right. These decks are modular –
meaning you can buy a complete kit that has the ability to record, play back,
manually edit, and more – or you can opt for a more stripped down version with
more simplified functions. You can also add or delete modules as you see fit.
There are four options to be released in total, with the first (the M 063 H3)
set for a release this month at a starting price of US$ 11,000.
