If you’re a PC-savvy technophile, there’s a pretty
good chance you’d rather custom build a computer than buy one that’s ready to
go out of the box. But if you’re not a hacker, your best bet for a desktop is
probably an all-in-one, as it comes ready with everything you need. If you’re
tight on space, however, worry not – Acer just released the Aspire S 24; their
slimmest all-in-one to date.
This PC’s 23.8-inch Full HD monitor (with a 1920 x
1080 resolution and virtually no bevel of which to speak) is, astoundingly,
only 0.235″ thick. Even the base, which houses its guts, is remarkably slim.
Which is even more impressive when you consider that it’s loaded with a
1-terabyte hard drive, your choice of either a 8th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7
processor, and an Intel UHD Graphics 620 card, and even a 2.1 channel speaker
setup with a built-in subwoofer.
It even doubles as a Qi wireless charge
station and has a litany of ports that range from three different kinds of USB
to an SD card reader. We’re not sure how Acer managed to load this black and
champagne-colored computer with so much good stuff, but they did. Pricing is
set at US$ 900.
