Xiaomi just launched the Mi 6X, the company's latest
camera-centric mid-range packed with a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 screen and the
Snapdragon 660 chipset. It features dual camera setup which consist of the a
primary 12MP f/1.75 Sony IMX486 sensor paired with 20MP f/1.75 Sony IMX376
depth sensor w/ PDAF and LED flash.
According to Xiaomi, it has A.I. designed to
intelligently detect 12 different scenes and instantly retouch the images of
206 scenes in 25 different categories. For selfies, it has the 20MP f/1.75 Sony
IMX376 w/ softlight LED flash. It also has A.I. beautification and softlight
LED flash. Xiaomi also claimed that it uses pixel binning technology to combine
information from four pixels to create one large 2.0µm pixel. It is designed to
capture brighter and better images and videos even in lowlight.
The Mi 6X will come with a metal clad body, either
4GB or 6GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB expandable storage, 3,010mAh battery w/ Quick
Charge 3.0, fingerprint sensor, dual 4G LTE, IR Blaster, and Android 8.1 Oreo
OS w/ MIUI 9.5 skin.

The price of the new Mi 6X starts at CNY 1,599 while the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM top-of-the-line variant is
priced at CNY 1,999.
It'll be available in China starting April 27.
There's no word yet if it'll be available in other parts of the world.
