Ruark Audio the family-owned British audio company
founded in 1986 has this week unveiled its latest creation in the form of the
Ruark Audio MRx, the company’s first connected wireless speaker. The latest addition
to the company’s range is compatible with the already available Ruark Audio R2
Mk3 “all in one” music system and the Ruark Audio R7 Mk3 radiogram and will be
available to purchase during May 2018 priced at £ 400 or US$ 560.
Measuring 11.8 x 7.1 x 7.1 inches in its horizontal
orientation the MRx features Ruark’s trademark modern design and can be
controlled by the company’s new Link smartphone companion application. The
multiroom speaker has been specifically built for wireless streaming and offers
a wide choice of options.
Specifically for the new MRx wireless speaker, Ruark
Audio have developed new speaker units based on the driver technology from
their award-winning MR1 Mk2. Taking the form of a new cone and coil assembly
coupled with the powerful neodymium magnet system provides a full-range driver
with unrivalled performance. These drivers are mounted as a stereo pair into
tuned bass reflex enclosures and powered by a high-fidelity two channel Class
A-B amplifier.
