Painters, artists and hobbyists looking for a way to
quickly mix over 1 million different colours of paint, may be interested in a
new paint mixing system called the Picolor. The desktop machine takes the form of
a small cube which is equipped with five different pigment colours Cyan,
Magenta, Yellow, Black and White. Enabling it to mix and reproduce any of its 1
million colours instantly ready to use.
Picolor comes supplied with its own companion
smartphone application which is supported by both Android and iOS devices and
connects to the Picolor using Bluetooth. Enabling users to quickly select any
colour from the application palette and send it to the desktop machine for
mixing. The team is also developing the system to accept higher density pigments.
The Picolor colour paint mixing system is now
available to back via Kickstarter with super early bird pledges available from
just US$ 66 or £ 47. If all goes well worldwide shipping is expected to take place
during December 2018.
