With posters showing that the Nokia X will be
unveiled on April 27 (which is this Friday), HMD is completing the required
certifications to launch the phone. Which is despite doing the simple math that
X = 10 isn't going to be a flagship offer. A 10W charger bundled with it just
came to confirm that.
Two model numbers – TA-1099 and TA-1109 – have been
certified by the CCC wireless authority. The listing doesn’t reveal much beyond
TD-LTE (showing these are China Mobile handsets) and the charger.
It’s a 5V/2A charger, meaning it’s as ordinary as
they come – nothing fast here. That, along with the lack of hype surrounding
the Nokia X launch shows that the phone is going to be a spiritual successor of
the original X model from 2014 rather than a new flagship device.
