A new virtual reality treadmill has been unveiled by
KAT this week which will soon be available to back via their upcoming
Kickstarter campaign. This the latest KAT VR treadmill offers a smaller version
of the company’s flagship VR treadmill and takes the form of the aptly named
KAT Walk Mini.
The KAT Walk Mini has “a much smaller footprint that
can fit in any room whilst maintaining the open, non-restrictive design that
allows for full range of movement for your arms and legs.”
Unfortunately, no official launch date has been
announced as yet but the start of the Kickstarter campaign, and prices have
still yet to be confirmed. For an indication the original KAT Walk VR treadmill
was available to early bird backers from US$ 600. “Breaking the barrier between
the real and virtual worlds, a small
amount of physical space is all you need to enjoy the ultimate experience. It
can seamlessly map walking, running, jumping, sitting, squatting and other
various actions into the VR world.”
As soon as more specifications, features, pricing
and availability are made available by KAT we will keep you up to speed as
always. In the meantime jump over to the official KAT website for more details
on their current product offerings.
