Honor officially announced that the Play 7C
Flame Red will be launched tomorrow exactly at 10:08AM of April 17th. The
smartphone will be available in two versions: 3GB+32GB memory combo priced 899
Yuan (around US$ 140) and a 4GB+64GB variant going for 1299 Yuan (US$ 200).
The Honor Play 7C comes with a design that is very
reminiscent of the successful OnePlus 5T while costing a fraction of the price.
The phone is obviously made of metal in a beautiful red tint with a thickness
of just 7.8mm.
In terms of configuration, the Play 7C sports a
5.99-inch 1440×720 display with a screen aspect ratio of 18:9, a 14nm chip
Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, support for up to 256GB memory card expansion and runs
EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0.
Photography wise, we find an 8MP front camera with
support for soft light self-timer to manually adjust the fill light. Meanwhile
on the back we have a 13MP + 2MP combo with a large aperture to create photos
with a shallow depth of field.
Finally, the Honor Play 7C will be equipped with a
facial recognition system that can accurately identify 1024 groups of feature
points, making it safer and faster. At the same time, it still has a
fingerprint scanner (on the back) to meet the needs of different users.
