Rodsum Wireless based in Hong Kong have created a
new wireless locator system designed specifically for seniors to enable their
friends and family to monitor their location and receive alerts when a fall or
abnormal routine behaviour is detected.
The AROCO Locator AL312 consists of a wearable
mobile device That is paired with a smartphone companion application supported
by both iOS and Android devices. During a 24-hour period, the device quietly
collects location data and updates the caregiver’s application. If something
untoward is detected, then an alert message is sent directly to the mobile
device allowing the caregiver to take action.
