Optik has this month started a new Kickstarter campaign to relaunch the Dr.
Rudolph’s APO Plasmat Lens 105mm f2.7 camera lens.
Meyer Optik explains more about the history of the
APO Plasmat Lens, “105 years ago, in 1918, famous Dr. Paul Rudolph started his
work on the Plasmat lenses. His goal was the design of lenses that would have
the optimised correction of chromatic and spherical aberration and would
generate a natural “in depth” view of space in the image.
The APO Plasmat 105 lens is now available to back
via Kickstarter with early bird pledges available from US$ 1049 or £ 745. Worldwide
shipping is expected to take place during February 2019 And the lenses will be
serial numbered in the order of their backers.
