Alpina Watches based in Geneva, Switzerland has
created a new timepiece in the form of the rugged AlpinerX smartwatch, which
has been specifically designed for the outdoors and comes complete with its own
companion application that supports both iOS and Android devices.
The AlpinerX Smartwatch is equipped with a wide
variety of advanced measurement sensors providing feedback on UV, temperature,
altitude, pressure, meters, motion and direction. The sensors measure the data
in real time which is then displayed on the watches digital display. Functions
can be selected using the companion application.
The AlpinerX is available to back via Kickstarter
with early bird pledges available from £ 390, If all goes well and the
crowdfunding campaign is successful worldwide shipping is expected to take
place during May 2018.
The AlpinerX is powered by a quintuple sensor technology
and backers will be able to influence the design and specifications of the
final version of the AlpinerX.
