Acer is currently in the process of finalising its
new Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop which will be available from US$ 2,630 when
it launches in the next couple of weeks. Details of the gaming laptop have been
revealed by the mobiManiaK website revealing that Acer will make available a
number of systems with different specifications.
One of which will be equipped with a Core i9-8950HK
with a 2.9 GHz base clock and 4.8 GHz boost clock or the lower-spec Core i7-8750H
that runs at 2.2 GHz base clock and 4.1 GHz boost clock and is expected to be
priced at around US$ 3,500. While the system equipped with a Intel Core i7-8750H
processor will be priced at a more affordable US$ 2,630.
Other features of the Acer Predator Helios 500
gaming laptop range include a 17.3-inch Full HD 144 Hz IPS display with NVIDIA
G-Sync support powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card supported by
16GB of DDR4-2133 memory and equipped with 256GB M.2 SSD for primary storage.
Connections on the gaming laptop take the form of 3 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB
Type-C ports with Thunderbolt support, 1 x HDMI port, 1 x DisplayPort, LAN
port, and two audio connectors.
