Drone manufacturer LeveTop has this week taken to
Kickstarter to launch its new intelligent folding drone. The LeveTop folding
drone is equipped with a patented quadruple folding frame, enabling it to be
easily transported from one location to the next, offering unique portability
when compared to competitors such as the Micro Drone and Kudrone. Thanks to the
inclusion of brushless motors the LeveTop drone offers a more powerful
propulsion system when compared to other regular drones and is capable of
autonomous flight enabling it to capture and record video footage without the
need to be controlled by a pilot.
Watch the demonstration video below to learn more
about the awesome LeveTop folding drone which is powered by a 1500mAh Li-Po 3s
removable and rechargeable battery, offering a 20 minute flight time, from on a
single charge, with a top speed of 33 mph or 54 km/h. (Although actual flight
time does depend on environmental conditions, such as weather and winds). When
required, the drones batteries can quickly be swapped over enabling you to
carry on flying without almost any delay. Extra rechargeable LeveTop batteries
are available to add to your Kickstarter pledge from US$ 26.
On top of the robust propulsion system and unique
folding mechanism, the LeveTop drone is equipped with precision positioning
technology and autonomous GPS tracking. Which when combined with its
ultraportable design, enable owners to unfold and fly the LeveTop drone with
just a single click from the flight application. To capture and record the
action, the LeveTop drone is fitted with a 1080p stabilized camera, offering a
field-of-view of 120 degrees combined with CMOS technology designed to capture
“crisp, clear, hands-free footage with each pixel measuring 2.0 micro-metres in
size.
The unique design of the LeveTop allows it to be
quickly and easily unfolded, once unfolded simply place the LeveTop drone on
flat ground and connect your smartphone to the quadcopter via Wi-Fi. Once
wirelessly connected press the unlock button for two seconds and then click the
“Take Off” button to take the drone into the air. To capture media while flying
just press the camera or record button to take a photograph or record video
footage and download them instantly to your smartphone or tablet while in
flight.
The LeveTop drone is controlled by simply tilting
your smartphone in the direction you’d like to fly, as you tilt your device the
companion application instantly collects “vector data (including speed and
direction) through its onboard G-sensor.” The application then wirelessly
transmits these commands directly to your drone changing the speed of each
propeller and using its integrated integrated 3-Axis gyroscope and 6-Axis
accelerometer to balance and stabilize itself the entire time.
Thanks to the inclusion of precision GPS and vision
positioning technology, LeveTop can follow and track you automatically and
never missing the action. Merely preset the drone to keep you in the frame and
the LeveTop image recognition technology will do the rest keeping you center
position and using its its Geo-Fence Technology by selecting your area.
Once your flight is finished, you can easily edit
recorded footage and photographs and share your media via YouTube, Facebook or
Instagram instantly. Another handy feature of the LeveTop is the “Tripod
Hovering” mode which allows users to capture photographs, and selfies. LeveTop
has been designed to hover precisely in place without the need for a pilot to
control the drones flight path, enabling easy hands-free video and photography.
The LeveTop folding drone with autonomous flight
mode is now available to back via Kickstarter, with Super early bird pledges
available from just US$ 129 and worldwide shipping expected to commence during
June 2018.
